The report from the lake is that the port engine is done. The last time we repaired it the cost was over $5000 and the repairs have not lasted very long. I spoke with Patty Woodland last week and she said they had located a used engine on EBay for about $3900 in Connecticutt. I'm not certain if we have been able to secure this engine yet, but if we have it will cost an additional amount to verify its soundness by a local shop and have it shipped to us. It will probably cost about $5000 in all to get it here. We also needed to buy new batteries. I have asked the Hubers as Secretary, to send out a notification of an additional assesment this year of $400 per each share ($200 per half share) to pay for these repairs. Please get this in to the Treasurer as soon as you can. The Treasurer is Bill Morrell, 1960 N. 400 W., Sunset, UT 84015.
Sorry we have to do this but we do. For the rest of the season only use the starboard engine (the right one for you landlubbers) and leave the other one off. Also, do not tilt the engine up there is not enough clearance in the motor bay for it to turn in the tilted position when the boat is steered.
